Hawaiian Bell Essence

Hawaiian Bell Essence

“From the honey of my throat comes the passion of my heart.”

Latin Name: Stictocardia beraviensis

Link to Chakra: Throat Chakra

Origin: Africa.  A beautiful evergreen controllable climber of the morning glory family, with heart-shaped leaves and showy red-orange flowers.

Traditional herbal uses: Native Americans were known to use the seeds for their hallucinogenic properties.

Energetic properties:

  • Public speaking
  • Addresses rigidity/frigidity in communication
  • Softens an abrupt/brusque manner

This is currently the only throat chakra essence in the entire set – but what a communicator she is!  Another happy result of my frustrated morning glory quest, this huge climber from the morning glory family not only affects the throat chakra in a powerful way, but also seems to have some effect on the base and sacral chakras (given the colour of the flower – red and orange – I’m not particularly surprised).  As some of my earliest and happiest memories are of my mother and I growing morning glories in a window box, this essence, in its’ own way, is a tribute to her.
