Jasmine Essence
“I am the breath of the Divine within you.”
Latin Name: Jasminum officinale
Link to Chakra: Crown Chakra
Origin: Asia, principally China and northern India
Traditional herbal uses: Known as the “Queen of Perfumes” because of its exquisite scent, it is used in soaps, perfumes, toiletries and various cosmetic products. Medicinally Jasmine has also been used to treat muscular spasms and sprains, as well as depression, nervous exhaustion and stress-related conditions.
Energetic properties:
- Helps to re-connect to and recognise one’s own —and others’ — divinity
- Helps those too grounded in day to day reality
I caught the delicate haunting scent of this graceful Jasmine vine following recovery from a severe respiratory infection — the first thing I was able to smell in weeks and it was heavenly! As subtle as her scent is her effect — and yet powerful enough to cut through the congestion in my nose and my life.
