Description
This little plant, which belongs to the mint family, Lamiaceae, has soft, furry, dark leaves and fleshy stems. The flowers grow in tiers up the erect stem. The genus consists of 40 – 50 species, most of which are native to Europe, Asia and Africa. This is one of two species native to southeastern Australia.. They grow 5 – 50 cm tall with opposite leaves.

Doctrine of Signatures
The flowers are purple and shaped like a tiny white angel with arms outstretched and wearing a long flowing gown. It has the appearance of a tiny face with a purple dot on the forehead in the region of the third eye. The upper petals form unfolded wings while the lower petal forms a cup shape, over which the angel figurine is standing. It seems to form a safety net to catch anyone who falls from grace through fear or lack of trust.

This essence is for asking for protection from the angels and for calling up our angels to be present in our everyday lives.
