Bougainvillea - The Magical Inner World

I know you certainly feel ridiculous playing with little wooden cars, making „wrrrmm-wrrrmm“ noises with your lips and imagining that you are a racing car driver. But wouldn‘t it be nice to get so deeply in touch with the world of fantasy and imagery for a little while?

Be proud of your inner world -- this is Bougainvillea‘s message.

This essence helps us to remember our creative side. Our mental machinery hates curves and loves straight lines and right angles. Without fantasy, our world would turn into a cube. Bougainvillea is the poet among the flower essences. This essence works on getting involved in one‘s own fantasy so much that it feels real. This is a necessary step to making creative imagery and hypnosis work, to consider the impossible, to accept the unacceptable, to enjoy the little miracles in one‘s everyday life which are so often overlooked. Did you ever think about someone, and they call you that very moment on the phone? Did you ever see faces and watch movies in the clouds or in the flames of a fire? Then you have an idea of what Bougainvillea is all about.

Bougainvillea takes the commonplace and makes it something inspiring and wonderful. It finds the sparkle in the greyness of our everyday routine. It enables us to enjoy playing simple games. Losing this ability reduces our lives to a meaningless struggle for material things -- which of course is the basis of existence, but what is a joke without a laugh? Bougainvillea makes everything more interesting and attractive. It makes us feel like we‘re on an adventure when we just going to work. It fills the boring emptiness with little miracles.

Animals do not talk to us and we don‘t talk to them except to give them simple commands like „sit“ -- and why should we? Animals are stupid; they follow their instincts and do not know what emotions are. Right? So the ones among us in need of Bougainvillea simply ignore that it means something when our dog comes to comfort us when we are sad, or when our cat lays down on our aching spot and sends her healing warmth. Most animals do not need Bougainvillea; they do what they find appropriate no matter if we believe in their sixth sense or not. But many of us ignore their inner abilities, so we need Mariposa Lily.

Bougainvillea is for children who are often in trouble because of their daydreaming. In contrast to the Bach flower Clematis that grounds us and wakes us up, Bougainvillea helps us enjoy and appreciate daydreaming. We learn to use it in a way that makes sense and we profit from daydreaming as a kind of inner training. Bougainvillea strengthens children‘s ability to stand up for the right to dream, for the right to be unpunctual, for the right to dance to their own rhythm.

Many of us train our bodies but leave the mind to decide what it wants to do. This lack of mental training can lead to habits like repeating earlier discussions or constantly reviewing to-do lists. Instead of suffering from repeated thoughts, I prefer an inner management sponsored by Bougainvillea, making Bach‘s White Chestnut (for unwanted, repetitive thoughts) unnecessary.

Many things we do work much better when we are in a kind of trance state, e.g. when making music, painting or working in the garden, etc. Bougainvillea enhances your meditation, helping with guided imagery as well as shamanic travelling.

If you want to write a love letter and it comes out sounding like a tax declaration, then you are desperately in need of Bougainvillea! Do not think this essence interferes with your logical and analytical abilities. On the contrary -- it adds something new: a creative, funny, magical, sensual and inspiring component. Once you have adapted to this ability, it is still up to you to decide whether you like to be rational or enjoy being silly. Be the director of your own life, but do not leave out its magical aspects.

Let your inner child discover magical worlds where others see an ordinary street or a field. Bougainvillea makes you love to flirt with everyday life!

I am often asked about the basic principles of the use of archetypal essences. What are archetypal essences? May I reply by asking you a question in return?
